Looking for Silver
Last night I had a good time looking for silver. I got a big batch from the bank yesterday and looked through about half of it already.
I searched 8,001 halves. They produced eight 90% silver halves (7 x 1964, 1964D), thirty-eight 40% silver halves (2 x 1965, 6 x 1966, 9 x 1967, 16 x 1968D, 5 x 1969D), and one gold plated 1972D half. One of the boxes had twenty-two keepers in it. That's one of the best boxes I have had in a while.
I also looked through 2,920 quarters. In them was only four Canadians and one US nickel.
After that I searched 950 dimes and found one silver Rosie (1960D) and one Canadian.
This morning I saw a really cool car that is going to be made. It's a diesel hybrid. And is supposed to get almost 70 miles to the gallon. Unfortunatley it is going to be make by Volkswagen. Here's the article.

HI,
ANONYMOUS here.
Just a question. With all the coins you go thru, how do you give them back to the bank? Do you have to re-roll them or do you just give them back loose? My banks do not have coin counters so I have to re-roll all of them and this is somewhat of a bother. Any suggestions or info would be helpful.
That's a good silver find. With prices over $20/oz you just made a small fortune.
Keep up the good work.
