The Big Wait

The waiting game continued this weekend. My wife and I didn't know exactly what to do with ourselves so we read and went out to eat twice. We also visited with family which was fun and kept our mind off of things.

I searched alot of hand rolled coin this weekend. I didn't want boxes.

I only scrounged up ninety-one halves at four banks. There was nothing in them.

I also turned up 2,400 quarters. In them were two Canadians and one Netherlands Antilles 1 Gulden. This is my second such Antilles coin. I found another one in some halves some time ago.

I searched 4,700 dimes. They produced four silver Rosies (1946, 1956D, 1959, 1960D), eight Canadians, three US pennies, one French 5 centimes, and one Cayman Islands 5 ¢. The French and Cayman Islands coins were first for me.

I looked through 3,000 nickels and in them I found two War Times (1942S, 1944D), eleven Canadians, and one US dime. The 1942S was a nice upgrade for the one in my album.

Lastly, I searched 4,900 pennies. They produced twenty-seven Wheats, thirty-five Canadians, one Panama 1¢, and one US dime. The Wheat varieties were:

1919S, 1925, 1928, 1929, 1940(2), 1944(4), 1945, 1945D, 1946, 1950, 1951, 1951D, 1952D, 1953(2), 1954, 1956(3), 1956D, 1957, 1958, 1958D
