Killing Time
Last night I did just a little searching. I didn't want to get ahead of myself, but I did want to do something to keep myself busy while we wait for the big day. I stopped at a local credit union on the way home and picked up a bunch of hand rolled coin.
I first searched 3,000 dimes. In them I found just three Canadians, one UK 5 pence, and one US penny.
After that I looked through 1,700 pennies. They produced ten Wheats, twenty Canadians, and one Bermuda 1¢. The Wheat varieties were:
1937, 1944(3), 1948, 1951, 1955D, 1957, 1957D, 1958D
I found this great article yesterday on MSN. I wish my blog or a few friends' blogs were mentioned.
Found: 3 pennies (at work), 2 dimes (at work), 1 quarter (at Sovereign Bank), 1 foreign coin (a Spanish 25 ptas at Sovereign Bank)

Hi,
I am your ANONYMOUS. I started doing this about 2 months ago and was thru 1 1/2 boxes of half dollars and a box of nickels a week. I am now 2 boxes of halves a week. My finds have been surprising. I "play" 2 banks at a time each week to hopefully change the "mix" and deposit the rest of the coins in my main bank. I just love doing this. What a great hobby.
