A Proof Quarter
Last night while worrying about little Henry's mystery spot and fever (it went down fairly quickly) I did some coin roll hunting. It helped calm me a bit. I had a good find, but it didn't mean too much since I was concerned for him. In fact, I feel a bit dumb writing about coins right now.
1,600 quarters produced a proof quarter (1989S), a Canadian and one Mexican 1 Peso (1985). The proof quarter is the first one I've found in a roll and it's in great shape. It's bright rim stood out from the other quarters in the roll.
100 dimes didn't turn up anything, but I didn't get totally skunked in dimes as a teller saved me a 1956D silver Rosie.
4,680 nickels yielded a worn Buffalo (1923), two War Times (2 x 1944P), ten Canadians, two Bermuda 5¢ and a key date Jefferson (7,888,000 minted).
Lastly, 2,100 pennies had six Wheats and thirteen Canadians. I'm still not having much luck finding Wheats this year. The Wheats were:
1948, 1952D, 1955(2), 1957, 1957D
Found: 10 pennies (2 at Hannaford's, 7 at Sovereign Bank, 1 at White Hen Pantry), 1 dime (at Hannaford's), 1 plastic coin (a toy penny at Sovereign Bank)

Did you do the "glass roll" over the rash?
Just got to remember that if it doesn't "disappear" under the glass then take him to the emergency room in case it's blood poisoning and / or meningitis.
Our own Henry here has just gone through a dreadful bout of what turned out to be Cryptosporidiosis, but finally seems to be on the mend now. He got up the other day and was demanding eggs for breakfast, so that's a good sign.
I've never heard of that saying.
Sorry about your nephew. That sounds nasty. Kids just seem to be magnets for this stuff!
Have a look at http://www.meningitis-trust.org/Signs-Symptoms.html under "A rash that does not fade under pressure (see ‘The Glass Test’)".
One of those things worth knowing, in case of need (Heaven forbid).
Hope that helps.
