I've had rolls I took to the "dump branch" of one bank turn up at other branches. Now I use two totally different banks, not two branches of the same bank.Thomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05240779530288316022noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7823963200890450212.post-49259879154830976352008-06-20T15:07:00.000-04:002008-06-20T15:07:00.000-04:00Without a doubt, do not return the coins at the sa...Without a doubt, do not return the coins at the same place that you bought them. A different branch is probably OK, but a different bank is better. Most tellers are not going to be too happy to sell you a box just have you return it the next day.

Best of luck.kestreliahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11945878104798456156noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7823963200890450212.post-74605605924246187262008-06-20T14:25:00.000-04:002008-06-20T14:25:00.000-04:00So, I shouldn't return the box of nickels back to ...So, I shouldn't return the box of nickels back to that branch? What about another branch of the same bank? They frown on that? Why would that be? I really only have an account at oen bank, although I do have one open (technically) at another local bank I could use. I need to learn the "etiquette" I guess...

He was nice to me, so I'd rather not alienate myself there if I find them to be nice enough to order boxes for me.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14759937657396683054noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7823963200890450212.post-36445344575762058742008-06-20T13:50:00.000-04:002008-06-20T13:50:00.000-04:00Thanks.I get that all the time. If you have an account and don't make the mistake of returning your rejects to the same bank you got your supply from they shouldn't have any problem with it. Who knows? Maybe you'll develop a relationship with the teller and they'll start saving you cool coins.kestreliahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11945878104798456156noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7823963200890450212.post-85135056739549656792008-06-20T12:46:00.000-04:002008-06-20T12:46:00.000-04:00Glad to hear your famil is feeling better...Wonder...Glad to hear your famil is feeling better...

Wondering if you ever get this... I went to pick up my first box of nickels today and the guy asked what I was doing with them. He didn't so it in an inpolite way, but makes me wonder if the banks are asking that in case anyone says "I'm going to melt them"... Seemed odd. He helped me find some loose halves and I picked up my first roll of halves today as well. So, he seemed nice, but wondered where he was going with the "what are you going to do with [the 2000 nickels]?"Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14759937657396683054noreply@blogger.com
