Easter

This weekend we were busy, but it definitely felt good to have the mini-van bought and the dining room done. We took a drive out in our new vehicle (Kia Sedona, 2011) to Uncle Tim's birthday party and on Easter we went to church and Nana's for dinner. The kids were very well behaved for everything. The biggest bummer was the timing for Easter was all wrong for Hazel so she wasn't herself for things. (I'm not sure how to schedule things for her outside of 11-1.) We had some good times playing with the kids after some naps on Easter. A couple good hours of playtime helps Mom and Dad forget any previous crazy times.

Henry told us yesterday, "Hazel looks like a little princess." She did. I'll have to post some pictures soon.

8,000 half dollars had just one proof (1999S). That was a lot of work for just about nothing. :( Oh well, the year's been great for the most part.

5,000 pennies turned up forty-three Wheats, thirty Canadians and one Bahamas 1¢.

1911, 1923, 1937(2), 1938, 1940, 1941, 1942, 1944(4), 1945(3), 1946(7), 1949, 1950D(2), 1952(2), 1952D, 1953(2), 1953D, 1953S, 1955(2), 1955D, 1956, 1956D, 1957, 1957D(4), 1958D.

I had a particularly good score at the bank coin counter. In the reject bin I found $33.68 in US coins (121 quarters, 19 dimes, 20 nickels and 53 pennies); $1.50 in Canadian coins (2 quarters, 1 dollar) and some other foreign coins (a Euro 5¢, a Euro 1¢ and a UK 2 pence). The UK 2 pence was one I needed for my album.

Found: 1 penny, 2 nickels, 1 dime
