This weekend I didn't search to much. We had lots of engagements with family and friends.

On Saturday morning I searched 3,150 hand rolled pennies. In them was only eight Wheats, twenty-nine Canadians, and one Euro 1¢. The Wheat varieties were:

1940, 1944, 1945, 1955(2), 1957, 1957D, 1958

I also looked through 800 hand rolled nickels. They produced one War Time (1943S), one Canadian, and one US penny.

After that I experimented a bit with the Nic-A-Date I got. It didn't work as well as I expected based on some pictures I saw of the results online, but it was still fun. I started out with thirteen dateless Buffaloes, one of which was a D mint and two of which were S mints. Afterwards I found I had:

1913(2), 1916(2), 1917(2), 1918, 1919(2), 1919S, 1925, 1925S, 3 Unknowns (including a D mint)

Although I know the dates of most of them, none are specimens I really want in my albums.

While doing errands on Saturday I picked up fifteen half dollars, but didn't find anything. On Sunday I went to a coin show.

Found: 5 pennies (4 at the Greendale Mall, 1 at Stop 'N Shop), 2 dimes (at Stop 'N Shop, on two separate occassions), 1 foreign coin (a UK new penny at Stop 'N Shop)
