Indian Head

Last night I had some decent CRH luck. :)

I first searched some hand rolled coin, 240 quarters, 450 dimes, and 120 nickels. In that mix I found a silver dime (1937) and two Canadian dimes. The Mercury is a pretty good one, unfortunately I already have that one. I also found one dollar in extra quarters ... someone miscounted.

I next searched 12,100 pennies (four boxes and some hand rolled). They produced one Indian Head (1887), sixty-three Wheats, sixty-nine Canadians, and one Bermuda 1¢. The Indian Head is in very good shape. You can still read "Liberty" on the headdress. It is the second oldest coin I've found in a roll. The oldest is an 1879 Indian Head (I'm not counting the 1864 Indian Head I found on the bank floor last year.). The Wheat varieties were:

1923, 1927, 1928, 1929, 1930, 1935, 1936, 1937, 1940(3), 1941(4), 1944(4), 1945(4), 1945S, 1946(3), 1947D, 1948, 1949(3), 1949S, 1950, 1950S, 1951, 1951D(3), 1952(5), 1952D, 1953, 1953D(2), 1954, 1954D, 1955, 1956(3), 1956D(2), 1957(3), 1957D(3), 1958D(5)

Found: 2 pennies (at Sovereign Bank), 2 foreign coins (a UK New Penny and a Canadian dime at Sovereign Bank)
